Q. Tell us about Record Rev. What do you offer? What makes your store unique?
A. Record Revolution opened in 1967. We are one of the longest running independent record stores in the country! We offer a range of lifestyle items including vinyl records, T-shirts, body jewelry, tobacco products, & locally made artifacts.
Q. Why is Coventry Village the ideal location for your business?
A. I grew up in the Coventry area. I love the diversity of it’s people & the entrepreneurial spirit of the district. I worked here for many years before getting involved with the business
Q. The holidays are almost here. What kind of unique gifts can shoppers find at Record Revolution this year?
A. We carry rare & import posters, locally-made Cleveland themed T-shirts, rare & collectible vinyl records, & hand crafted jewelry. All great gift ideas.
Also, We’re participating in Small Business Saturday (this Saturday, November 29th.) American Express® Card Members can register to get up to $30 back when they shop at Record Revolution and other participating local spots on Small Business Saturday®.
Q. When you’re not at the store, how do you spend your free time?
A. In my spare time, I’m a dance instructor, actor, DJ, and furniture maker.
Q. Did you always want a record store? What did you want to be when you were growing up?
A. When I was a little boy I always wanted to be a DJ. & an actor. I also loved building things out of wood, but my parents wouldn’t let me use tools so I just stacked blocks. I was really into space too so I wanted to be an astronaut. Oh well, maybe some day.
Thanks to Rob for taking the time to share with us. Check back here tomorrow or become a fan of our Facebook page right now. Each weekday this holiday season, we’re introducing you to the independent business owners that help make Coventry Village a great place to live, work, shop, dine and play.
