Q. Tell us about Eddy’s. What do you offer? What makes your locations unique?

A. Eddy’s On Coventry is a full service salon that offers cuts, color, and more for both men and women. Eddy’s Barbershop is our newest spot. We opened the barbershop this past spring. We offer men’s haircuts and straight razor shaves. We love our jobs, and we especially love our job of making you look and feel your best.

Q. Why Coventry?

A. Coventry is home to lots of independent businesses. The walking traffic is a great benefit to our locations.

Q. Tell us your story of entrepreneurship?

A. I started out cutting hair at a friends salon before opening Eddy’s. I love working for myself. It’s been a wonderful experience to start businesses and watch them grow. The best perk and the biggest challenge of being the boss is knowing that it’s all on you!

Q. Which member of your team has been with you the longest? What special skills do they have that helps make your business stronger?

A. Melissa Fisher is a stylist that has been with me for 8 years. She is fantastic with cut and color. She also excels at customer service.

Q. Which charities and non-profit organizations are you involved with personally and/or professionally?

A. I’ve donated my time and professional skills to help lots of charities including the American Heart Association and organizations that assist at risk children. I’ve also visited hospitals and schools for the developmentally challenged and provided them with complimentary haircuts and styling.

Q. Tell us about your personal life. What are some of your hobbies? What’s one of your guilty pleasures?

A. I enjoy shopping local at cool boutiques like Reincarnation Vintage Design and Michael Rolf Antiques & Ideas. I have a cat named Frankie. My guilty pleasure is ice cream!

Q. Share with us a family holiday tradition?

A. Taking drives to see all the Christmas lights is a family favorite!

Q. Give us ideas for holiday gifts and services from Eddy’s On Coventry and Eddy’s Barbershop!

A. We’ll get you ready for the holidays by helping you look and feel great. If you have a loved one on your list that’s hard to shop for, a gift certificate for pampering is always appreciated. Also, salon products make great stocking stuffers.

Thanks to Ed for taking the time to share with us. Check back here tomorrow or become a fan of our Facebook page right now.  Each weekday this holiday season, we’re introducing you to the independent business owners that help make Coventry Village a great place to live, work, shop, dine and play.
