Coventry Customer Spotlight: Meet Lee Cavender, loyal customer of Heights Hardware
Coventry Village is just 1/4 mile and home to over 40 independently owned businesses. This holiday season, we’re shining the spotlight on some of the loyal customers that shop, dine and enjoy Coventry Village.
They’ve shared with us why (and where) they shop small, favorite mom and pop spots, gift ideas, holiday traditions and fun ways to spend winter in northeast Ohio. Thanks to all that support Coventry Village. It’s customers like YOU that help us build a neighborhood!
Customer Spotlight: Lee Cavender
Occupation: Property Manager, Omega Management Co.
Cleveland Heights Resident
Loyal customer of Heights Hardware, since 1982
Q. Heights Hardware named you as one of their most loyal customers. What do you love about shopping there?
A. The personal touch! You feel you can ask a question without being belittled for your lack of knowledge.
Q. You’ve been a customer since 1982 and Heights Hardware is known for the personal service you can’t get in the big box stores. Can you share with us a time they came to the rescue in a personal way?
A. Years ago, I had a problem late into the evening. I called them and they actually opened the store so I could get the parts I needed.
Q. Why do you think it’s important to shop local?
A. Supporting people who work & live in your community. Families & friendship develop.
Q. Tell us some of your favorite local spots!
A. I love shopping at Ten Thousand Villages, eating at Tommy’s and spending time at Nighttown. Other Coventry Village spots I frequent are Marc’s, In the 216, Hunan Coventry, High Thai’d, Grum’s and Phoenix Coffee.
Q. Give us a list of your top Cleveland winter activities.
A. Visiting Playhouse Square and Nela Park. Christmas caroling in Cedar Fairmount, Coventry, Cedarwood Plaza, and McGregor Home. P.S. I have a lousy voice.
Q. Can you recommend a product from Heights Hardware that will help our readers during this busy holiday season?
I personally buy and highly suggest light timers for tree and house. No turning on & off lights each day!
Q. What’s your favorite holiday tradition?
Going to Manners Christmas Tree Farm to cut our tree (as our dog runs wild), hot chocolate (coffee) by the fire, sing alongs, and sleigh rides!!!
Thanks to Lee for taking the time to share with us!
