A. Attenson’s always has unique finds. It is a family business and everyone is friendly. They have a a wide selection of items at every price point. They have unusual items and they are knowledgeable about what they sell.
Q. The store is packed with treasures. Tell us about some of the treasured items you’ve purchased from Attenson’s.

A. Supporting local businesses helps maintain a vibrant local economy. Plus, you get personal service from someone who knows your taste and the added convenience of having shopping within easy driving distance.

A. Mac’s Backs-Books – I love the friendly service and wonderful unexpected finds in both books and cards.
Tommy’s Restaurant – Unique food and a lively atmosphere, a good place to meet friends.

Blick Art Materials – Knowledgeable staff and a great selection of art supplies
Other local favorites include; Appletree Books, Fiddlehead Gallery, Shaker Lakes Nature Center, Mitchell’s Candy, Big Fun, Phoenix Coffee, and Verne Gallery.
Q. Give us your list of top things to do in Cleveland during the winter.
A. Attending the Cleveland Botanical Garden Orchid Show in February (it’s like having an early spring); going ice skating at the outdoor skating rink in Wade Oval; walking around Shaker Lakes; Heights Art music programs and the holiday gift shop
Q. Help our readers with their holiday shopping, recommend a gift idea from Attenson’s Books & Antiques.
A piece of jewelry – playful or elegant; ceramic Russian jewelry boxes; vintage purses; china and crystal vases.
Q. What’s your favorite holiday tradition?
My favorite holiday tradition is taking my nieces to the Botanical Garden for the Christmas show (GLOW) to ride the mini-train and to look at the gingerbread houses. Then we go into the glass house to get a picture of them with the butterflies. They really look forward to this event.
