Commemoration of poet Daniel Thompson at Lakeview Cemetery and the Algebra Tea House

There will be a commemoration of poet Daniel Thompson on Tuesday, May 6th at Lakeview Cemetery and the Algebra Tea House. Daniel, poet laureate of Cuyahoga County and friend and mentor to many died ten years ago in 2004.
We will meet at 5 p.m at the Mayfield gate of Lakeview Cemetery and walk to Daniel’s gravesite. It is about a ten minute walk. For those who would prefer to drive his grave is located in section 63. There is a site map on Lakeview’s website, www.lakeviewcemetery.com
It will be an informal gathering for people to read poetry and remember Daniel.
If it is raining and too wet to be at the cemetery we will have the reading/commemoration at the Barking Spider Tavern, 11310 Juniper Rd. on the CWRU campus. Watch Mac’s Backs Books homepage for details if we need to switch venues.
The cemetery closes at 7:30 and from there we will go to the Algebra Tea House, 2136 Murray Hill Rd. in Little Italy. The event at the Algebra will feature poetry and music.
